  1. This show genuinely awakened a sense of childlike wonder in me that I had not felt in a while. While using simple puppetry and tricks, Kitsune is able to create a unique world onstage where foxes talk, dragons fly, and sock puppets are sock puppets. The blend of beautiful music, sound, and visuals creates an amazing any-age show that highlights the difficulties of growing up to create your own identity as an adult.

  2. I really found this to be such a wonderfully visual piece. I found the story was a bit short but the visuals are amazing. I also learned a lot too, so this is worth every penny.

  3. I fell in love with the artist’s show last year, Kimiko, and Kitsune is a beautiful complement to the artist’s portfolio. Kitsune is a gentle and serene walk through Japanese folklore as told through puppetry and circus performance. I thought so many elements of this play were so well thought-out (the fox and the mice segment in particular was so charming)and the atmosphere at Nouvelle Scene really complemented the story. Definitely kid friendly AND adult-friendly, as well. A must-see for sure!

  4. A beautiful piece by a talented performer! Was a delight to watch, left me awestruck several times. A perfect example of Fringe.

  5. Beautiful and magical are two words you’ll see a lot in the reviews already here – and those yet to come – because they’re the perfect description.

Skillful puppetry, sleight of hand, dance, and storytelling come together in a show as fun for four year olds as forty.

My only complaint is that I’ll be thinking about the dragon for a long long time.
