In a rural farmhouse, the dysfunctional Cain family is rocked when eldest brother Andrew reappears after a week-long disappearance from which he should have never returned. He is genial, kind, and harmless — and his siblings are terrified. As tension rises, this gothic horror exposes the rot underneath a patriarchal family.

  1. supremely creepy, but they sure do take the lord’s name in vain! Mild VVitch vibes, strong unsettling performances, blood curdling sound design. Recommended!!

  2. Lockpick Theatre does it again! Cannot recommend this show enough- it has family trauma, it has fake blood, it has it all. For all your Summer-ween needs, get your tickets now!

  3. Excellently tense and engaging! Creepy and the humour is surprising and clever. Must-see at Fringe!

  4. What a show! I honestly didn’t know what to expect from a show of this kind, but it was such a high-quality production, I was happily surprised. I truly recommend seeing it!

  5. What a fantastic show! Tense, well-paced and kept me at the edge of my seat! The actor playing Andrew stole the show!

  6. Horror is sooo in!! With movies like Obsession and Backrooms beating box office records and competing with mainstream Hollywood in film and television – I decided to see my first horror theatre performance. Aberration did not disappoint. Amazing acting from the cast, great sound design, and lighting that gave me goosebumps. This show is a must see at Fringe!

  7. Well put together! Pacing is perfect – acting is incredible and engaging. I can tell that the logistics are a well oiled machine and I can only hope to reach that level one day.

Love the story – it reminds me of The Summer Hikaru Died (so if you like that, you’ll love this! & I do not think TSHD was an inspiration – I just love how people think up of similar concepts and take them very different directions).
Pieces of the story are unexpectedly lovely, but ’tis a gothic horror in the end, so don’t expect it to last. :)

  8. Aberration – terrifyingly thrilling, this show has an amazing take on horror. This show is splendidly chilling, an absolute pleasure to watch. The best part of the show in my personal opinion, was the acting. It was very engaging and well rehearsed. I highly recommend this show, the cast are also very nice people, so you should totally meet them after the show!
