Sharp intellectual satire meets risqué Monty Pythonesque buffoonery in this über-polished multimedia “lecture.”

Content Notes

  • Audience participation: Because this show is in a lecture format, the performer may occasionally call upon the audience to answer a question. This is generally voluntary, but it is not outside the realm of possibility that the performer may improvise a comedic bit about something he notices.
  • Flashing lights: There will be coloured lights that flash, but they will not be on a strobe setting. Please reach out on our company’s website for further information.
  • There is sexual content because the show contains many, many jokes about masturbation and sexuality. While the script document does not have swearing, the subject matter is, by its nature, mature.

Our deadpan Professor “makes a surprisingly lucid case” [Orlando Sentinel] regarding the historical and cultural significance– and academic legitimacy– of clowns and mimes pretending to masturbate. This semester, you’ll study hard and come to take “Jackin’ Around” VERY seriously!

One response to “Stroke of Genius: Pantomime Masturbation Throughout Performing Arts History

  1. The politest show about masturbation you’ll ever see. If you’re on the fence about the show’s raunchiness, you’ve got to know that there’s no wanking at the masturbation show.
A university lecture, studded with clips from (fictional) movies, all starring a drag king comedian. As it turns out, there are a million and one ways to allude to masturbation, each sillier than the last. At the show I saw, several members of the audience may have actually peed a little, but it was all in the best possible taste.
