1. Incredible. It’s camp. Diane’s energy is infectious! It is not just any solovela… it could be someone you know… someone you love… a stranger you’ll now get attached to. Apparently we’ve all missed the best solovela that was done on tech night… so you’d better not miss any more of them!

   It’s a delightful time watching Diane efficiently move to and fro, using spatiality & costume to represent each character. I like the smart re-use of the Artist pass lanyard as a costume piece carrier. It’s frenetic and efficient at the same time and it makes for an oh so funny episode to witness.

2. This show is a masterclass in solo performance and taking care of your audience. Diane is a pro, and does a phenomenal job of keeping characters and plot threads clearly defined. Well-timed sound effects enhanced the performance. Energetic and fun — a must-see!

3. Beautifully absurd, Solovela is the kind of show that can only be managed by a master both of her craft and her genre. Diane is an impeccable improviser, spinning a tale of melodrama, secret identities, and amore almost from thin air. I was also incredibly charmed by the brief interview section, where she took members from the audience, and asked for details from their lives to fuel the show. If you have a nemesis you would like to see skewered artistically on stage, look no further than Diane and her dastardly eyepatch!

5. Diane takes her time with the audience volunteers, setting the tone, and then launching into a vivid multi-character tale of love, drama, and intrigue! Comedy, care, drama, daring. Great show, Diane!!

6. A true master of solo improv! It was incredible to watch her take just a few details from someone’s life and spin it into an appropriately absurd drama.

7. Oh wow!! Such an amazing show! This one is definitely a must see if you like unexpected twist, character development and muchas risas!!!!

8. Hilarious. Had me giggling the whole show. Diane has so much energy, a quick wit, and good comedic timing. She was an absolute treat to watch.
   Shoutout to the folks doing the tech for this show. They were so quick to match the performer’s energy via sfx, music and lighting. I kept having to remind myself that they don’t share a hive mind. Well done.
