5 responses to “soil

  1. Ottawa-based with a joke about Gatineau – MISHA knows their audience.

Really solid acting and an interesting, concise concept that came across really well throughout.

  2. A rare dramatic play at Fringe this year, Soil is surprising, complex with a very strong script and some great performances. Try to go in with as little information as possible, so I won’t give any plot points away. But all the characters felt real, and the tension built from an authentic place. Please give Soil a try and support this fresh cast of young artists in their first Ottawa Fringe experience.

  3. Even to defend good causes, human nature always presents flaws and different personalities. I really liked it, very good pace with well-placed little touches of humor.
You will undoubtedly get into this intrigue!

  4. A riveting watch! This unmissable Ottawa Fringe debut offers a glimpse into the dilemmas of eco-activism— pet fish, immigration, and all. With some well-timed laughs, Soil’s clever dialogue is propelled by compelling acting, which will invariably give you goosebumps as well, leaving you to chew your nails as the characters (and their ideologies) unravel.

  5. This was dark and funny and thought-provoking.

Some whip-smart writing with delivery to match.

The powers of personality, guilt and responsibility collide in this entertaining piece.
