With a diet of trash, cigarettes, and naive optimism, she is ready for anything…except her first real audience. Could her observations of humans be slightly flawed? Using clown, dance, and pigeon facts, Colum will do what no pigeon has done before: bring sexy back!

  1. Fun and flighty. However the venue is as well hidden as a pigeon nest. It is in basement of Simard, on the Private lane, across from the Monument to Francaphonie. Look for the giant cherry picker nesting by the entrance. Performer uses thrifted Ts for printed merch. Very cool lowkey chic.

  2. Colum is a great tour guide to walk you through the history of pigeon domestication; putting a very funny, emotional and affectionate act through their time as a back alley dweller. Looking forward to meeting Colum at the fountain as the pigeon who made it in life!!

  3. Sarah Ivanco as Colum, an endearing one-pigeon performance that takes you from the highs and lows of the “once pet now pest” adorably loyal species.

It works as an incredible PSA for pigeon lives and makes you wrestle with some deep biases that fester in our own species through a comedic reflection.

@thelightertouchcollective which includes Sarah and Erik is a Fringe Festival must and catch them performing while you can! They’ll be going to Toronto Fringe in July, so spread the word and get some merch!

  4. Colum the pigeon had me laughing and crying! Don’t miss out on this hilarious and heartfelt show.

  5. I was so excited for this show and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly emotional, Sarah uses pigeons to talk about the human experience of self-love and belonging. Her costume was amazing and I loved every minute!

  6. Don’t miss this show, even if it’s easy to when you try to find the venue. It is of course, sexy and fun, but surprisingly wholesome and intimate as well. You’ll get a whole new perspective on pigeons, a lot of laughs, and a name and talent collective to watch for in the future.

  7. What a show, it was funny, creative, heartwarming, a great time. It is surprising, and fresh, with moments of levity and wit, but also moments of weight, making you look inwards towards how we treat others.

It had great pacing and clever staging, you don’t want to miss this one.

  8. A beautifully written and performed show by a passionate pigeon enthusiast. Spectacular physical theatre and direction. A must-see show!
