It’s the most outrageous comedy at the Fringe! The Outrageous! Comedy Sketch Show presents five short plays satirizing contemporary society:
“The Office of Threats to Western Civilization” — Bureaucracy meets paranoia in an age of global terrorism.
“Identity Politics” — A straight white guy applies for a government arts grant in a Gilbert-and-Sullivan inspired mashup.
“Take One for the Team” — A cynical Sports editor takes the shine off the golden boy of Canadian poetry.
“Workplace Wellness” — A drug bust goes sideways when the police hire a Jungian psychologist as a workplace wellness officer.
“Cancel Culture Vultures” — A sassy comedian upsets the censorship committee at a comedy club open mic night.
Great fun! Singers and pianist were very accomplished. I recommend this show!
Such a treat to watch!! Funny, witty and relevant :)
The pianist and singers/actors did a great job!
The writing was well done and music and acting gave it a great presentation. The humour I found to be on many layers which made it that much more engaging and interesting.
Definitely a show worth taking in.
This show is absolutely incredible!
Have a laugh, have a guffaw,
but whatever you do, you’ll have a hoot at this show.
Do come! :)
Wow.
“Skewer targets left, right, and centre” is, to no one’s surprise, code for “let’s make fun of the marginalized!” Racism and bigotry are such attractive qualities.
Can we get content warnings for this garbage? They can put it on all they want, I’m just not personally interested in funding or sitting through an hour of hate speech.
