Un homme en uniforme apparaît au bout du couloir. Suivez-le et découvrez l’étonnant périple nocturne d’un concierge, de salle en salle et dans les recoins cachés d’une école. Plongez dans une expérience immersive, sans paroles, où la réalité se transforme en rêve. En examinant ce que signifie faire partie de la classe ouvrière d’aujourd’hui, Le Concierge dresse le portrait touchant d’un personnage solitaire dont le travail est trop souvent considéré comme allant de soi.
Dans Le Concierge, le col bleu devient mythologique. Tout comme Sisyphe, notre protagoniste a lui aussi pour tâche d’effectuer un travail absurde, répétitif et sans fin. Il devient une allégorie de la condition humaine. Comme le disait Albert Camus : “L’ouvrier d’aujourd’hui travaille tous les jours de sa vie aux mêmes tâches, et ce destin n’en est pas moins absurde.”
Après avoir joué à guichets fermés à Toronto en mars 2023, notre équipe est ravie de pouvoir présenter Le Concierge au festival undercurrents de cette année!

A man in uniform appears at the end of the corridor. Follow him and discover the astonishing nightly journey of a janitor as he goes from classroom to classroom and through the hidden corners of a school. Leap into an immersive, wordless experience where reality turns into a dream. Through its examination of what it means to be part of today’s working class, Le Concierge (The Caretaker) paints a touching portrait of a lonely character whose work is too often taken for granted.
In Le Concierge, the blue collar becomes mythological. Just like Sisyphus, our protagonist also has the task of doing work that is absurd, repetitive and endless. He becomes an allegory of the human condition. As Albert Camus said: “The workman of today works every day in his life at the same tasks, and this fate is no less absurd.”
After a sold-out run in Toronto in March of 2023, our team is thrilled to be able to bring Le Concierge to this year’s undercurrents Festival!
