Show Details
JOSHUA’S WITNESSES is an immersive solo show, which unearths all the dirty intel on the Jehovah’s Witness religion. Brother Joshua has been called forth to the judicial committee (the audience), which will judge if he should be disfellowshipped (excommunicated) due to his transgressions, a Jehovah’s Witness real practice.
Content Notes
Audience participation is selected because this is a clown show. Participation will not be mandatory, but encouraged as I engage with the audience throughout the show.
Flashing lights is selected because there will be some lighting cues like this.
Nudity because there will be burlesque in the show (being in a thong is as far as the nudity goes).
Mature language because I will swear.
Sexual content won’t be much beyond the burlesque.

Don’t miss this sexy, spellbinding physical comedy that has been crafted from real-life experience, as Joshua was born a Jehovah’s Witness, and raised in the religion until he left at the age of 15. Audience members are encouraged to participate, but are not required to. Directed by Sweet Action Theatre’s Gordon Neill (Canada’s Got Talent).

This show had me laughing to the point of tears. Excellent comedic timing and rolling with the punches. A must see for those of us with religious trauma.
Not your typical theatre experience, but definitely an unforgettable and an important one. Go see it.
Joshua’s Witnesses is everything I ever wanted in a show: revealing religious secrets, top-notch physical comedy, fantastical(ly sexy) body control, lighthearted audience interaction, and incredible comedic timing. The mesmerizing flow of storytelling that draws from his real-life experience as a Jehovah Witness made this hour fly by. I can hardly believe he made me burst out laughing more than once by making the idea of converting someone absolutely hilarious.

Saw Joshua’s Witnesses last night. What incredibly courageous performance. He takes on very very difficult subjects and shows these subjects in a playful and ridiculous light. Combines his talent for clowning, improv AND burlesque!!
Josh is one of the most brave, beautiful, vulnerable, and funny performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. He works incredibly hard for the audience and gives them his absolute all in every show! The way he moves is like no other I have ever seen. I am honoured to have gotten to see him perform, and hope to see him perform again. He is very special.
