A three character, one clown, solo storytelling show. Join Juice as they reveal their truest self along with a fair bit of self-consciousness, self-awareness, self-centeredness, and self-flagellation. You’re in for a touch of psychotic clown with a lot of raw vulnerability that we desperately need.
From the mind of Josie Nixon, the founder of the internationally awarded EXPOSED [storytelling]
This show is heavy, emotional, and will likely leave you crying. I say that as a huge compliment. If you’re looking for some catharthis this Fringe, or just some darn good storytelling, this is the show for you.
While heavy, the text is strong and the interpretation so, so solid. I’m really glad I saw it. Go support Josie.
Beautifully and thoughtfully constructed and staged. You will not see a more raw, vulnerable, or powerful performance at this Fringe than Juice. An absolute must see!
The lighting, the use of shadows, the subtle projections; a true display of extraordinary storytelling and artistry. I had tears streaming down my face by the end, and those tears were earned. This is the kind of show that stays with you long after it ends. You must see this show.
Punk in the best kind of way!
This show is so raw but so beautifully crafted. Juice is a masterful storyteller and this is honestly one of the most powerful works of art I’ve seen in a long time. I laughed, I cried, and I needed a hug when it was over. Highly recommend you go see this show!
This was the best show I have seen in the three years that I have been to Ottawa Fringe, and I truly mean it. The most meaningful and the most a performance has ever been able to make me feel. Between the lighting, the projection and the staging, Josie really does an absolutely spectacular job at telling their story.
I cannot recommend this show enough to anyone, this is a must see at this year’s fringe.
If you’re looking for a show that will stick with you, that sees the sides of yourself that you’d sooner hide away and silence, JUICE is the show for you. This show comes from a deeply personal place that depicts the costs of hiding from ourselves and others, the price we pay in feeling shameful, and hiding our truths that is universal to anybody struggling, who want so deeply for things to be different but didn’t know how.
