Dr. Saunders brought his latest creations to the Ottawa Fringe Festival, eager to unveil his newest groundbreaking scientific innovations. But chaos struck when they escaped his control and scattered into the festival. Can you track them all down before the night ends?

Freaky Fringe Friday Scavenger Haunt

Welcome to the Freaky Fringe Friday Scavenger Haunt in partnership with Saunders Farm! This interactive adventure will take you across the festival grounds in search of curious posters, mysterious haunts, and surprise encounters. Complete the tasks on your haunt card, collect eyeball stickers, and discover what makes Fringe and Saunders Farm so special.

Once your card is completed and all squares have a sticker, bring your card back to the Saunders Farm booth! They will enter you into a lottery, and the winner will be pulled during Improv Night at Club SAW from 9pm – 11pm. Make sure to head on over to see if you’re the lucky prize winner!

Your Tasks

1. Find the 2018 Fringe Festival Poster!

Go to La Nouvelle Scene (333 King Edward Ave). Somewhere in this venue, you’ll find the 2018 Fringe Festival poster featuring a pair of wide, staring eyes, as seen on the Scavenger Haunt card. When you find it, snap a picture and show it to the volunteers at the Info Booth at La Nouvelle Scene! Or, you can remember exactly where it was and describe it to our volunteers! 

2. Locate the 2017 Fringe Festival Poster!

Head to Arts Court (67 Nicholas Street). Search for the 2017 Fringe Festival poster that features tentacles! It’s strange, eye-catching, and a classic Fringe oddity, as seen on the Scavenger Haunt card. When you find it, snap a picture and show it to the volunteers at the Info Booth at Arts Court! Or, you can remember exactly where it was and describe it to our volunteers! 

3. Where’s Ted Forbes?

Ted Forbes is somewhere at the festival, but finding him may take some detective work. Search common gathering areas like the courtyard, or Info Booth. Once you spot him, you’ve completed this task. Make sure to ask him for a sticker! Hint: He is the Theatre Manager of Ottawa Fringe Festival… Where could he be?

4. See a Fringe Show

Visit the Fringe Info Booth and present your ticket to any show that you’ve seen. This can be a paper ticket or one on your phone. When you show your ticket, the staff will give you a sticker for your Scavenger Haunt card.

5. Find the Saunders Farm Booth

Find the Saunders Farm booth somewhere on the festival grounds. When you get there, ask the staff for further instructions. They will provide the next part of your challenge (and your sticker!)

6. Find This Haunt!

The card includes photos of various character haunts around Arts Court ! Your goal is to find each of the featured haunts in real life and get a sticker from them. They might be scary, but we promise they won’t bite.
