When a sibling kicks the bucket, it’s oftentimes us left to carry the torch. If you’re unfortunate enough to be part of our society, we truly apologize. But we’re happy to have you. Take a seat, grab a cup of coffee, and leave the torch at the door.
Sincerely,
Dead Siblings Society
I saw this show last night, and of the 13 shows I have seen so far at Fringe this one is a true highlight. The performances were electric – emotionally present, raw, high energy, funny, and physical. A very polished show with a strong balance of humour, dynamic storytelling, and emotion. It surprised me in the best way – I left in tears. Highly recommended!
Brilliant. Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Not a dry eye in the room. This is one of those shows that sticks to your ribs long after you leave the theatre. A piece of art that reminds you how closely love and grief coexist. And on top of it all, exceptional acting, writing, staging, and choreographed fight scenes. One of the most important shows in the Fringe circuit ever. I really hope this piece gets seen far and wide.
Dead Siblings Society is a truly incredible work of art. I absolutely loved how the actors Murph and Nick blended elements of raw, emotional story-telling and hilarious playful physicality. The show is such a beautiful tribute to the experience of mourning the loss of a sibling. It is evident that the show was created with so much love and handled with so much care. I know it will leave a long lasting impression on me – cannot recommend enough!!
Bring some kleenex.
This show will bring some fun WWE choreography and leave you with emotional whiplash.
The versatile use of props in the show is astonishingly clever. The actors have incredible on stage chemistry that really makes you believe they are siblings.
The writing is funny and vulnerable. Dead Siblings Society won Outstanding Overall Production a prize that is truly well deserved.
