A one-trans-woman dark comedy memoir about growing up in the Catholic Church and a JROTC military high school and the pervasive ways those places affect a trans identity. CRACKS is as vulnerable as it is funny. Through a hybrid of storytelling, stand-up, and theatre the audience is taken on an emotional roller coaster of navigating gender identity, substance abuse, and finding joy.
Absolutely phenomenal! An incredibly honest & raw performance. It had me holding back tears one moment and laughing the next. Highly recommend!
Incredible show! It truly is the definition of an emotional rollercoaster in the best possible way: deeply devastating, but also hilarious and hopeful. I rarely cry watching shows, but I couldn’t hold back tears of sadness and joy. A raw performance and touching story you absolutely don’t want to miss!
Evocative. Throughout I kept thinking of my trans friends.
It is powerful in its simplicity and honesty. Small unscripted anecdotes within the performance made it feel more intimate.
Hoping you get your deserved flowers as the first woman to graduate from your church military highschool 🔥
Incredibly raw comedic show by Claire that had both my partner and I contemplative for hours thereafter discussing – I left with the urge to ask Claire for a hug because I felt such deep empathy / seen by her show (I obvs did not impose but to convey how to the core I felt). Thank you Claire and to everyone else, GO SEE THE SHOW!
Very glad you got the sword (but yes keep that joke in anyway!!). Minimal staging makes this an intimate hour that feels much like a conversation. The story is personal, and well-detailed, yet universal to much of the queer experience… especially lately. I am glad to have attended, and anyone would enjoy, have some laughs, maybe learn something new. If you are ready to listen and connect to another human’s story, this one’s for you :)

Beautiful show! Amazing storytelling and stage presence, I was pulled into it right away. A lot of relatable moments if you are a queer person who took some time to come out and accept and love yourself, bring some tissues! I laughed, cried, and thoroughly enjoyed this dark comedy memoir.
