À la croisée du TED Talk, de la poésie slam et de la performance théâtrale, le spectacle solo ÇA RIME AVEC VINAIGRE, aux saveurs “david-et-goliath-esques” raconte une histoire de racisme systémique qui aurait pu être une histoire de racisme comme les autres, sauf que celle-ci, c’est l’histoire du fils de l’autrice.
Racontée à la première personne, la pièce explore la question : “Ça veut dire quoi gagner ?” et nous transporte dans les prémices du combat acharné qu’elle a mené, au nom de son petit garçon de 7 ans, contre tout un système scolaire qui, au final, est bien loin d’être aussi inclusif que ce dont il se targue !
La pièce de théâtre documentaire ÇA RIME AVEC VINAIGRE est actuellement en développement.

Created by Katia Café-Fébrissy. At the crossroads of a TED Talk, slam poetry and theatrical performance, the solo show Ça rime avec vinaigre (It rhymes with vinegar), with its “David-and-Goliath-esque” scope, tells a story of systemic racism that could have been a story of racism like any other, except that this one is the story of the author’s son.
Told in the first person, the play explores the question, “What does it mean to win?” and transport us into the beginnings of her relentless fight, on behalf of her 7-year-old boy, against an entire school system that, in the end, is nowhere near as inclusive as it boasts!
This piece of documentary theatre is currently in development.

Katia Café-Fébrissy est une productrice indépendante, autrice et metteuse en scène. Basée à Toronto, elle œuvre, en plus du théâtre, dans le cinéma documentaire et la télévision. Lorsqu’elle n’est pas derrière une caméra ou à diriger des comédiens pour la scène, elle anime le balado de la Guilde des Réalisateurs.trices du Canada.
Katia Café-Fébrissy is an independent producer, writer and director. Based in Toronto, she works in documentary film and television as well as theatre. When she is not behind the camera or directing actors for the stage, she hosts the Directors Guild of Canada podcast.
