It was meant to be a simple night at the theatre, but with a dame, a detective, and a dastardly criminal, it’s anything but!
A (fake) cigar is held, but not smoked. That’s it as far as smoking goes. There’s a great big swordfight! (No injuries and everyone lives.)
All shows will be masked.

Can they dodge leading ladies, opera ghosts, and the wrath of scorned techies in time to catch a killer? More importantly, can they snag that coveted Gumshoe of the Year Award? Film noir gets taken for a farcical spin, and it may never be the same again.
The show is jam-packed with jokes. There is a clear polish and intentionality to each moment. You can tell that the actors are having fun on stage and that invites you to join in on the fun of this absurd British farce stuffed with so much meta humour that the fourth wall is buckling underneath the pressure.
This is a great show about detective’s detecting a crime about… dead jokes in a play! Very funny and well preformed play!
Ah Dangerous Dames theatre…need I say more? They’ve been an absolute highlight in the past few years at Fringe! Wit, charm and mad dashes had me in stitches, marvelling at the plot development and fabulous physical comedy. A neat, fast-paced ride with delicious humour and an extremely talented ensemble!
Wow! What an attractive cast! Very funny, but distractingly hot!!!
I loved this show. From the whip-smart, punny dialog, to clever staging and hilarious sass all around (cast, crew, tech!), this play was a delight to behold.
Five Stars.
