Stiff Quickies: call for submissions

Now an annual party, the Ottawa Fringe is proud to present Stiff Quickies; a night of short films & tall drinks at Arts Court Theatre (2 Daly Avenue). Save the date: April 17, 2014.

A bill of shorts adding-up to 70-90 minutes will be screened with a couple of intermissions for visits to the bar.

In the meantime, filmmakers are invited to submit their short works for consideration (0-20 minutes in length). Deadline: March 31, 2014. Know now that there are no prizes and no cash to be made. Stiff Quickies is a fundraising party for the Ottawa Fringe Festival, a registered non-profit with charity status. It’s thanks to grants, donations and a great deal of volunteerism that the Festival continues to grow. That being said, we’ll do our best to thank participants with a drink on the night, passes to the Festival (June 19-29), and by introducing your work to the dozens of theatre companies producing plays to be performed at the Ottawa Fringe Festival (many of whom collaborate with local filmmakers to shoot promo videos).
