Second Coming of Fringe
Everyone have a good weekend? Now that we’re in to week two, it’s time for The Second Coming Fringe – what we affectionately call the time when performers wrapping up an earlier stop on the Fringe circuit (in this case, London Fringe) make their way to Ottawa. We’ve got a whole slate of new shows in town, so why not make your way out to Wanderlust, Vernus says SURPRISE, Little Lady, Fear Factor: Canine Edition, Hard Times!, or Fishbowl – all of which have a performance this evening.
I saw my first show of the festival on Friday, and spent the Saturday and Sunday seeing six more, with many of you were out there with me. The great weather (which will continue, we hope…) brought out big crowds and some sell out performances Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday. Big houses were reported at Don’t Make Me Zealous, Alien Predator The Musical, Hip Hop Shakespeare Live Music Videos, Little Orange Man, I’m Not Crying in the Bathroom… I’m Crying in the Supply Closet, Space Mystery from Outerspace, 100 First Kisses, and Ne Me Quitte Pas, Piaf and Brel, among too many others to list here.
The lesson? Buy advanced tickets to anything (and everything) you want to see, because by next weekend those tickets could be gone…
I know many of you are looking for a program (and schedule) available for download. You are in luck. Go here to get a PDF that includes the Master Schedule.
And don’t forget, you can also vote for Fan Favourite! Remember: one vote per person, per day.
Happy Monday Fringers!
