Karl is an adventurous cat, exploring the garbage peaks and demolished cars of their junkyard home, but they struggle with figuring out their purpose. Introducing the audience, the junkyard tourists, to their many puppet friends, Karl will begin to figure out who they are. They’ll find adventure with those who matter to them most in a spectacle of live music and originally designed hand-puppets.

  1. Incredibly witty and charming! I knew this show would be cute as heck, but I was also pleasantly surprised to find out just how funny it was! Cute animals telling hilarious jokes, what more could you want from a Fringe show?

  2. This was a delightful show. Cute, funny, singing, and a whole lot of charm. I will be humming Karl’s theme for awhile. I absolutely adored this show.

  3. Adorable and heart-warming. Perfect for making grown-ups feel like kids again without having to fully their matured senses of humour. Beautiful puppet workmanship, lovely voices, and talented guitar-work. And Karl was such a sweetheart. If you haven’t met them and their junkyard pack yet, you’re missing out on a magical time.

  4. Fixing a typo in my review, haha.
*Perfect for making grown-ups feel like kids again without having to fully sacrifice their matured senses of humour.

  5. I am being entirely non-hyperbolic when I say this: I would die for Carl the Cat and the Junkyard Pack

  6. Ottawa is lucky to have this. Lovely reminder that friends are quirky and perhaps a bit flawed, but if they support you (& vice versa) you’re friends all the same. The puppets are so alive that you forget the puppeteers Cannot See You. LOL. Awesome songwriting, singing, music playing, and very cute merch. :) Performers did wonderfully interacting with the audience in character as well. b

  7. One of the most kooky comedic cutiest pie shows EVER! Karl wanted to go the moon but was already among such stars in the junkyard – and is ofc a star too! Check this show out for a good sweet time you won’t regret!

  8. This show was delightful in every way! I wish I saw it earlier in the festival so I had time to see it again. 10/10, so sweet and funny, no notes.
