Based on actual reports, writings and speeches, Metis actor John D. Huston (2 x winner Best Actor Ottawa Fringe), and writer Keir Cutler (Teaching Shakespeare) resurrect a “civilized” government bureaucrat to defend Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s vision for Canada’s Natives and the ongoing repercussions. A compelling look at how being “civilized” has warped our values.

Saw your show in Kitchener. Bravo. Really fabulous. You created something truly entertaining and profoundly moving. And John was extraordinary. I was wowed by his performance. Mesmerizing. Nuanced. He played the role perfectly. Earnest, oddly likeable…and forever damned.
And it’s really smart. And uncomfortable. And informative. And important.

“John Huston’s performance is nothing short of a tour-de-force, of the type you usually have to shell out 50 bucks at the National Arts Centre to catch. . . .This show should be required viewing in this country.” Kevin Reid, Visitorium.
