Wonderful show…. Herr Arnott invites the audience in to share lessons learned on being an actor… living in the moment. What a delight. Then a shadow from the wastelands, deliberately not suddenly, casts its a pall over the creative – safe, open – space. A character, a teacher, a writer suggesting truths that, for me, reached past my 4th wall drawing me to the story and face shadows with an honest light. A stimulating masterclass in theatre – thank you :) !
Why? Because in the play he’ll take you everywhere emotionally. He starts it innocently enough. By the end the innocence is gone. Saw the play more the once. Thoroughly enjoyed it every single time.
Wow. Just saw the show and I’m still reeling. What exactly happened there? A psychological roller coaster. This show should have won Best of the Fest. It is powerful, unforgettable. One show left. Go see it.
What a performance!! Just got home and I’m still working through exactly what happened. I was off balance through the entire show, in the very best way that theatre can do, continually reassessing what I was seeing as appearances shifted, generating new contexts that kept forcing me to reassess the whole performance retroactively. A must see!
Brilliant 🙏🏼. Wish I had a chance to know more or speak with the creator about the “force behind” it. 11 out of 10!
