Box Office Attendant
Hourly rate: $16.00

Our team is growing! Arts Court Theatre and the Ottawa Fringe Festival are in search for box office
attendants (casual work 10-30 hours a month). If you are a lover of arts and culture, enjoy catching a
theatre, dance or music performance or perhaps are looking to meet new people in a creative
environment this may be the perfect fit. Assisting with patrons’ question and needs, interacting with
production staff, and processing ticket sales- you will be the face of Arts Court Theatre and Ottawa
Fringe Festival.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide a high-level of front-line customer service including greeting and engaging customers, and
providing show or event information
• Process ticketing sales for shows or events held at Arts Court Theatre box office
• Orient patrons around the Arts Court and Ottawa Art Gallery building
• Balance and verify daily revenue, complete shift report, and deposit
• Maintain a safe and tidy work space
• Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor and take appropriate action
• Maintain an understanding of programming occurring at Arts Court Theatre
• Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Emergency Procedures and
Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
• Attend meetings/training as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
Selection Criteria
• Completion of Grade 11 education
• Intermediate computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Experience with cash handling is a major asset
• Fluency in English and conversational French
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
