Not all stories have happy endings. Chris and Amy have lived and loved together for 13 years but their 12-year-old daughter Grace has watched their quirky relationship break down over time. A workaholic and an uprooted family girl don’t always mix. Funny, witty and real, this musical will touch your heart.

I cried pretty hard and I came away feeling something. The actors have lovely voices, in particular the little girl.

I had the privilege of witnessing not only the Québec City premiere, but also one of the tech rehearsals for Barely Even There. The love, care and attention to detail that writer and director J.P. Chartier has put into this brilliant and moving musical translates into an experience that will touch you on a variety of sensory and emotional levels.
Barely Even There will draw you into a touching story that is beautifully expressed through solid acting and soulful singing on the part of a well-chosen cast of Artbeat Theatre Group performers. Expect to be moved!

I have seen this show at the Artbeat Spring festival in Quebec City!
Fast-paced, funny one moment, sad the next, this is definitely one to see at this years Ottawa Fringe!
